
Doug Crytzer - Founder & President
Doug founded American Adventure Sports in 1997. A professional Adventure Racer and veteran of more than 100 races, his race experience has allowed him to become one of the leading Adventure Race Producers in the United States. Doug is a veteran Army paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne and competed on American Gladiators during its first incarnation. Doug is the father of three children—Scott, who is 25 and a whitewater guide currently attending IUP; Ashley, 21, who is an avid athlete and Senior at Oneonta University; and Calla, 7, is a horseback rider who loves animals and the outdoors, and is an up-and-coming Adventure Racer.

Ashley Reefer - Director of Business Development
Ashley Reefer obtained her B.A. from Wittenberg University and her M.S at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is constantly working to build new and lasting beneficial partnerships, while helping sponsors to meet their specific marketing goals. As Director of Businessyou Development she seeks out new accounts who benefit from our multimedia platforms. She works within our company and its clients, developing and delivering their vision to our in house film and editing studio, marketing team, graphic design deparment, and social media platform developers. Ashley enjoys staying active, the outdoors, and anything that makes her laugh.

Sarah Dahlheimer - Chief Operations Manger
Sarah Dahlheimer studied at the University of Maryland and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, receiving degrees in Chemistry and Psychology. Sarah manages event registration platforms for American Adventure Sports and the East Coast Adventure Racing Series. Sarah also manages the company's monthly newsletter and all mass email communication channels. Sarah ensures all platform blogs are constantly updated with our company's latest news and trends in the industry. Sarah enjoys mountain biking, trail running, and anything that allows her to be in nature.

Zack Scull - Director of Media Productions
Zack Scull studied Communications and Studio Art at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Zack manages our in house film studio by managing all AAS video shoots and editing for web and television. He also aids in developing ad campaigns, graphic design projects, and websites for our company and it clients. Zack enjoys being active and staying up to date on technology.

Julie Anderson - Principal Brand Manager
Julie obtained her Bachelors from the University of Pittsburgh in Political Science and French with a minor in Italian. She currently manages all brands associated with our retail location and sponsorships. Julie tracks inventory and sales at AAS providing the company valuable information for forecasting future orders and information on popular items. Julie is extremely knowledgeable of the entire product line up at AAS and specializes in helping customers in finding the best items for their latest excursion or event. Julie is also in charge of writing product reviews for all items retailed at American Adventure Sports and associated with the East Coast Adventure Racing Series. Julie enjoys staying active and living for the moment.
